Mark E. Hundley: Awaken to Good Mourning
This critically acclaimed book, first published in print format in 1993, is now available in audio format with a unique bonus -- the Brooks & Dunn song, "Believe" is the final track on this two cd set! No other book on grief delivers its message with as personal a touch as "Awaken to Good Mourning" and certainly no other audio book on grief contains "Believe" as a point of inspiration! (*****)
Elizabeth Levang: When Men Grieve: Why Men Grieve Differently and How You Can Help
Highly recommended for men who have lost as well as the people who care for them! (*****)
Granger E. Westberg: Good Grief
On of the most profound works ever written on grief. Simple; direct; honest! A perfect companion for your journey of grief! (*****)
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
Miranda Lambert: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend
One hot album from one hot Texan! This young woman is extremely talented and expresses a wide range of musical interests and styles in this album! A real barn burner! (*****)
The Eagles: Long Road Out of Eden
Pure genius! So very EAGLES! They just rock! If you have ever loved the Eagles, you will love this cd! If you are new to the Eagles, welcome to history and history in the making! (*****)
Brooks & Dunn: Cowboy Town
This is one hell of a great album! These two guys continue to set the standard for all other Country Artists to follow (in my humble opinion)! Buy the Walmart version of the album for three additional songs at the end of the disc! (*****)
Brooks & Dunn: Hillbilly Deluxe
This is one of their best albums ever! From "Play Something Country" to "Believe" (The 2006 ACM and CMA Song of the Year) this album rocks, rolls and speaks to the heart! You just gotta buy it! (*****)
I am a psychotherapist, speaker and author who loves life, loves people and periodically experiences "bald moments;" however all is good!
I am a motivational speaker, writer and licensed professional counselor with a specific expertise in loss and grief issues. I have written one book now out in audio format entitled "Awaken to Good Mourning." Since 1993, "Awaken to Good Mourning" has served as a companion to thousands of people journeying through life following the death of a loved one. The new audio version is truly unique in that it contains Brooks & Dunn's song "Believe" as the final track. I know of very few audio books dealing with grief on the market and none with a song as powerful and moving as "Believe!"
I have three grown kids and three small grandsons. I love being a "grand" -- they all call me "Golgi!" I write short fiction as well and love to travel and speak to audiences about issues important to them. I typically speak to life insurance professionals; funeral home professionals; churches; schools; civic organizations; and community sponsored events.
Ten years ago, I was privileged to be one of seven co-founders of a wonderful non-profit organization called the Journey of Hope Grief Support Center -- http://www.johgriefsupport.org -- that provides group grief support at no cost to children, adolescents and their parents or adult caregivers as they learn to mourn the death or impending death of a loved one. So many wonderful things have happened in the lives of families touched by this organization.
I am in the middle of a fund-raising campaign to raise $1M one dollar at a time for the Journey of Hope. Details of the campaign can be found on the organization's website, my website or you can visit my "Tip Jar" on this site for more information. I invite you to investigate and see how you might help touch the lives of children and families.
I love life and believe in possibilities!
