    Hey Mark
Great Post!, I too am a big fan of Saving Grace (although were only on series 2 here is Australia - so no giving any secrets away)
Not only does the show bring enjoyment and entertainment, but for those willing to look a little deeper, it reinforces that we all have the capacity to bring love and change into the lives of the people we touch.
Earl certainly isnt the typical stereotype of what we would consider angelic, and perhaps this applies to the people that we meet in our daily life. It really has reminded me to not judge a book by its cover and to always look for the good within.

    Love your work Mark!

Thanks for your comment, Monica. Without "Earl's" in my life, I quite literally would not be here today. People who, on the wings of providence, entered my life at just the right moment to remind me of my worth, my purpose, my responsibilities. Thanks for sharing!

    Monica

Meaningful moments like the one you describe are so precious! They take you by surprise and stay in your memories forever. I of course can think of many "Earls" in my life. My Dad, my husband, my children,my friends, clients, strangers that I will never forget. I make it a point to appreciate regularly and there is always someone like this. Being somebody's unexpected help is truly important. I aspire to help as many people as possible, to be there for them. Who's Earl am I?...that's for them to say, but I thank you, Mark, for the reminder that we all need to step out there to create the possibility of being in the right place and time to be of service to others.

I, too, am a big fan of Earl's (and Holly's - you know my thing for redheads!), but what really blows me away about God's sense of humor and timing is this: playing Earl is a quite gifted actor named Leon Rippy, who, prior to Saving Grace, had most recently been known as one of recurring bad guy roles in Walker, Texas Ranger, and he was a REALLY BAD guy - muy malo! - human life had no value. It is so ironic that, being type cast as such an outlaw and criminal, he now goes about doing good, and trying to motivate us to do good, as well.

This critically acclaimed book, first published in print format in 1993, is now available in audio format with a unique bonus -- the Brooks & Dunn song, "Believe" is the final track on this two cd set! No other book on grief delivers its message with as personal a touch as "Awaken to Good Mourning" and certainly no other audio book on grief contains "Believe" as a point of inspiration! (*****)
