I've Been Away Far Too Long!
Since my last update on this blog site in March, I have logged another 384,000 steps toward my goals of running One Million Steps for the Journey of Hope! My total is now 442,000 steps! Only 558,000 to go! I am promoting the One in a Million Campaign ~ a campaign that aims to raise One Million Dollars, One Dollar at a Time, One Person at a Time, In 2009 for the Journey of Hope Grief Support Center! My personal goal connected with the running, one million steps by the way is approximately 500 miles, is to donate one dollar for each mile I run!
Updates!
I have created a group for the Journey of Hope on Face Book and invite anyone on Face Book to join the group and help the cause by donating just one dollar and then inviting others to do the same!
On Twitter, I have created a "hash tag" for the One in a Million campaign identified as #1inamillion4kids ~ so if you are active on Twitter, look me up, join in the fun and help me spread the word. On Twitter I can be found under markhundley.
I posted a birthday wish on Face Book back in June and raised over $500 for the One in a Million campaign! It was fun watching folks donate!
So Simple, So Easy, So Difficult!
Yes, all three are true of the One in a Million campaign. The idea is simple ~ donate just one dollar - the cost of a soda - to the Journey of Hope. JUST ONE DOLLAR! The formula is so easy! Once you have donated your dollar, just ask at least 10 friends to do the same! The idea being that as people donate and ask, we will reach one million folks each one donating just one dollar! The Difficult part of this equation is getting folks to take the five minutes needed to complete the simple task!

Runners & Walkers Invited!
Those of you who are runners and walkers, would you like to add a little incentive to your routine? Why not join me in inviting people to sponsor your miles between now and the end of 2009?
